One of the many benefits of living in the United Kingdom is that we have the rights to use free speech. This right has been maintained by the Military and other similar organisations.

Having been employed in various positions of management, including while serving for 23 years in the Royal Marines, I found that on many occasions a person's character could be judged by the company he keeps. I also came to the conclusion that bird of the feather flock together. Of course as always, occasionally there are exceptions to these Rules.

Therefore if Mr Karl Winn prefers to employ a paedophiles, child molesters, convicts and ex-drug dealers to former members of the HM Forces, then that is his right but it does make me wonder what type of person  that Mr Winn is. According to the Mail he is quoted as saying, " I'd rather employ a paedophile than a hero etc".  ....Company boss compares British troops to child molesters in rant at job agency.

I am extremely glad I am not a parent with young children, living in the vicinity of where Mr Winn has his firm.

However I wish him well and I hope that he has  success in the recruitment of his choice of employees. Could be a fun Christmas Party at that firm!

It is good that we have a Military to defends those right. Where else would you have students urinating on War Memorials, sales staff refusing to serve customers wearing a bracelet supporting our troops. Also people spitting on War Medals and residents of this country displaying slogans calling Soldiers  murderers, etc. The list is quite long.

If I lived in a country where the military offended me and subdued my Rights, then I would move to another country where the attitude was different.

It is also to be remembered that in history, soldiers seldom start wars, they are called on by the Elected Government to fight them.

Would Mr. Winn refuse to employ a former Member of Parliament or a Civil Servant ?
