Why? Because the Bible Says So!
by
FoxnWolf
on Tue 03 May 2011 10:22 BST
In
her radio show, Dr Laura Schlesinger said that, as an observant
Orthodox Jew, homosexuality is an abomination according to Leviticus
18:22, and cannot be condoned under any circumstance. The following
response is an open letter to Dr.. Laura, written by a US man, and
posted on the Internet. It's funny, as well as informative
Dear Dr. Laura: Thank
you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have
learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that knowledge
with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the
homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus
18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination ... End of debate.
I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of God's Laws and how to follow them.
1.
Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and
female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend
of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can
you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?
2. I would like to sell
my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and
age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
3. I know
that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of
Menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15: 19-24. The problem is how do I tell?
I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
4. When I burn
a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor
for the Lord - Lev.1:9 The problem is my neighbors. They claim the
odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
5. I have a
neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath.Exodus 35:2 clearly
states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him
myself, or should I ask the police to do it?
6. A friend of mine
feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination, Lev. 11:10,
it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you
settle this? Are there 'degrees' of abomination?
7.
Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a
defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does
my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?
8.
Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair
around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev.
19:27. How should they die?
9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that
touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play
football if I wear gloves?
10. My uncle has a farm. He violates
Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his
wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread
(cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot.
Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the
whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn
them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who
sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)
I know you have studied
these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such
matters, so I'm confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding
us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.
Your adoring fan.

Where has Your Money Gone?
by
FoxnWolf
on Thu 14 Apr 2011 14:49 BST
Where has your money
gone?
The
latest report written in the 'Daily Telegraph' the money Britain gives
in Overseas Aid (as below). The Minister for Overseas Aid was also
heard on the BBC World News programme with his report of the Foreign Aid
Programme Britain’s donations. It came after the report of the UK
Budget. A follow up was the sacking of 2,000 experienced long term
servicemen, *One Sgt Major was actually serving on the front line in
Afghanistan when he was informed he was going to be sacked. The government
state the MOD cannot afford to keep them. Pilots were shelved near the
completion of the course they only had two weeks left to finish. Fighter planes
are being scrapped, as are essential RN Ships.
The Defence
budget has had a 30% reduction cut while British Forces in
Afghanistan are in desperate need for safety vehicles and essential
equipment the government say they cannot provide because of lack of
funds. The Overseas Aid and the Welfare costs the UK pay out should
have been the first reduction in finance, and cut drastically to make sure the
money is available towards the safety of our troops which should be
paramount. The government should stop the money given to the Imams (have
never worked in 19 years and get over 2,000 pounds a month to support the
kids he knocks out with three wives), also his other
social security dissident parasites who have no intention of ever
working, they should be kicked out with the riff raff and millions of
other scroungers Blairs 'New Labour mob let in.
They
should immediately, bring in National Service to get the millions of UK's bone
idle youths of their arses. And get out of the EU that is also robbing the
British public blind, while Germany and France reap all the benefits. and live
in luxury. The British government should wake up from their own self indulgence
and make sure Britain do not donate anymore more funds to the EU and shelf the
inane laws and legislation they think up and bring into force
from week to week, absolutely ridiculous laws that affect British
citizens, thought up by a mob of overpaid pigs in the trough foreigners who now
run Britain, which is now known as the "European Nanny Welfare
State."
Also
unbelievable the billions of dollars India and Pakistan spend on cricket
while Britain subsidise their starving millions living in abject poverty
and squalor on their streets. Also note the money Pakistan are spending on
Defence. We thought the Australian government were wasting our tax payer’s
money. According to the UK list of benefactors the countries involved receive
aid from both OZ and the UK. A serious case of double dipping while
our own pensioners, hospitals and clinics close, and essential services
suffer because both governments say they do not have the funds. Bloody farcical!!! It would appear that, it is not only
our, dearly beloved "Krudd" that is still giving the tax payers money
away.
And
I was under the false impression that UK was broke
and owes the IMF some £650bn + (unless you know different)
how wrong you can be.
Just in case you missed the figures for the
UK Overseas Aid Budget for 2011/2012, here are the details
Courtesy of the Daily Telegraph:-
In £ Millions:-
Ethiopia 290
India 280
Pakistan 267
Bangladesh 200
Nigeria 180
African Regional Bodies 180
Afghanistan 178
Tanzania 150
Congo 147
Sudan 140
Don't Forget Portugal ???
Don`t Forget Spain ???
On top of this there is a suggestion of a £100 M for Zimbabwe.
You will be aware that statements had been made to exempt India
from the Aid Budget, but that country still appears in the listings.
The previous 4 years for Pakistan Education was £250M, the next 4
years could be £650M.You may also be aware that Pakistan is currently
negotiating with China for a £1Billion purchase of submarines, and a £1Billion
purchase of Fighter Planes. All make sense?
If you had
the misfortune to listen to the Minister for Overseas Aid on the radio a few
weeks ago, you may remember that the oration was noticeable for his level of
conceit and arrogance, not what is needed to get his message accepted by the
British Public.
In “The
Big Society” the giving of Overseas Aid could be devolved from Government and
left to people to subscribe to Charities. If the Government has “hidden
agendas” concerning National Security, or Anti-terrorism, then in their much
vaunted “transparency” they should make those facts known.

ROYAL NAVY AND ARMY REDUNDANCIES
by

ROYAL NAVY AND ARMY REDUNDANCIES
The
Army and the Royal Navy today released the details of their redundancy
programme to their personnel. The specific trades and branches of each
service which are affected by the first tranche of the redundancy
programme, along with the numbers being sought from each area have been
announced.
In
October, following the SDSR the MOD announced that it would be reducing
the number of military personnel by 17,000 across all three services;
7,000 from the Army, 5,000 from the Royal Navy and 5,000 from the RAF.
While some of these reductions will be achieved through a decrease in
recruiting and not replacing those who leave, there will still need to
be around 11,000 redundancies. Each service will run a number of
redundancy tranches over the next four years with reductions planned to
be fully achieved by April 2015.
Although this is a compulsory programme, volunteers will be sought.
The
Army has identified 150 redundancy fields by looking at where the Army
is in surplus now and where it will still be in surplus in 2015. For
this first tranche, there will be approximately 1,000 redundancies, half
of which are expected to be volunteers. About 25% of those being made
redundant in this tranche will be officers, but no one with less than 8
years experience will be made redundant.
The
first tranche of redundancies for the Royal Navy will result in a total
of around 1600 redundancies from across a variety of the Naval
Service’s specialisations and branches, and will include ratings and
officers up to the rank of Captain. Those selected will be Officers from
the Engineering, Medical, Warfare and Logistics Branches as well as
Junior Ratings and Senior Ratings from a variety of Branches.

Illegal Migrants Can Return To UK Sooner
by
FoxnWolf
on Tue 22 Mar 2011 17:31 GMT
- Thousand of illegal immigrants living in the UK will be given the chance to come back after just two years - if they leave voluntarily first, the Government has said.
Illegal Migrants Can Return To UK Sooner
The move is designed to persuade illegal
immigrants and failed asylum seekers to leave of their own volition
without the need for costly forced removals and more than halves the
current five-year ban period.
However, the ban on those who delay their return could be increased to 10 years, the Home Office said.
Immigration minister Damian Green said: "It is much better value for
the taxpayer if we can get people who have no right to be here to leave
this country voluntarily.
"So overall it's good news all round.
"It means they're in this country for a shorter period of time, which is good for confidence in the immigration
system, and it saves money, so that's why we're reducing the number of
years for which they are subsequently banned for having been here
illegally in the first place.
"They still suffer, but the length of time for which they're not
allowed back will be reduced if they're willing to go voluntarily in the
first place."
The shake-up will also mean millionaire business men and women with
£10m or more to invest will be offered a fast-track to a British
passport.
They will be able to settle in the UK after two years, instead of the
current five, and will be able to get a passport after five years
instead of the current six, the Home Office said.
Those investing £5m will be able to settle after just three years.
Last year, fewer than 300 investors and entrepreneurs came to the UK.
Mr Green said: "We want those who have the most to offer to come and settle here.
"Entrepreneurs and investors can play a major part in our economic recovery and I want to do everything I can to ensure that Britain remains an attractive destination for them.
"Last year we issued far too few visas to those who wish to set up a business or invest in the UK - I intend to change that."
He added: "Anyone applying for a UK visa will have to meet our strict
immigration rules and their immigration history will be taken into
account."

New fleet for the Navy
by
FoxnWolf
on Mon 14 Mar 2011 10:01 GMT
New fleet for the
Navy
Details have been
released regarding Britain 's introduction of the next generation of
fighting ships: The Royal Navy is proud of the cutting edge capability of
the new fleet of Type 45 destroyers. Having initially named the first two
ships of this class HMS Daring and HMS Dauntless, the HM Ships naming
committee have, after intensive counselling, renamed them HMS Cautious and
HMS Prudence. The final four ships are to be named HMS Empathy, HMS
Nervous, HMS Timorous and HMS Apologist.
Costing £750 million, they
have been designed to meet the needs of the 21st century; in addition to
state of the art technology, weaponry, and guidance systems, the ships
will comply with the very latest employment, equality, health & safety
and human rights legislation.
They will be able to remain at sea
for several months and positively bristle with facilities. For instance,
the new user-friendly crow's nest comes equipped with wheelchair access.
Live ammunition has been replaced with paintballs to reduce the risk of
anyone getting hurt and to cut down on the number of compensation claims.
Stress counselors and lawyers will be on duty 24hrs a day, and each ship
will have its own onboard industrial tribunal.
The crew will be
50/50 men and women, and balanced in accordance with the latest Home
Office directives on race, gender, sexuality and disability. Sailors will
only have to work a maximum of 37hrs per week in line with Brussels Health
& Safety rules even in wartime! All bunks will be double occupancy,
and the destroyers will all come equipped with a maternity ward and
crèche, situated on the same deck as the Gay Disco.
Tobacco will be
banned throughout the ship, but cannabis will be allowed in the wardroom
and messes. The Royal Navy is eager to shed its traditional reputation for
"Rum, Sodomy and the lash"; out goes the occasional rum ration which is to
be replaced by Perrier water, although sodomy remains: this has now been
extended to include all ratings under 18. The lash will still be available
but only by request. Condoms can be obtained from the Bosun in a variety
of flavours, except Capstan Full Strength.
Saluting officers has
been abolished because it is elitist, and is to be replaced by the more
informal "Hello Sailor". All notices on boards will be printed in 37
different languages and Braille. Crew members will no longer be required
to ask permission to grow beards or moustaches - this applies equally to
the women.
The MOD is working on a new "Non specific" flag based on
the controversial British Airways "Ethnic" tailfin design, because the
white ensign is considered to be offensive to minorities.
The
newly-renamed HMS Cautious is due to be re-commissioned soon in a ceremony
conducted by Captain Hook from the Finsbury Park Mosque who will break a
petrol bomb over the hull. She will gently slide into the water to the
tune of "In the Navy" by the Village People played by the Royal Marines.
Sea Trials are expected to take place, when she sets out on her maiden
mission. She will be escorting boat loads of illegal immigrants across the
channel to ports on the south coast.
The Prime Minister said that
"While the ships reflected the very latest of modern thinking they were
also capable of being up-graded to comply with any new
legislation.
His final words were " Britain never, never waives the
rules!"

methods in the past] at a cost of £26.00, try going through your local
council. I contacted my local council yesterday [Cheshire West

through my local council office for £18.00 a saving of eight pounds over
the above, I renewed mine this morning!

There is a young lady, only 18 years old who
was on the TV wanting 100,000 signatures to support her campaign
against employers who would not allow her to wear her poppy on poppy
day at work.
We all know this country has gone daft but
this is to much. On this day when a Muslim was fined £50 for burning our
poppies and shouting death to our British soldiers, our boys and girls,
our fellow countrymen and women, enough is enough.
I hope you vote and (click onto the link

circulate this email to as many as you can, so it makes them at 10,

British Services get a bum deal re PENSIONS Sergeant
Matthew Telford of the Grenadier Guards was promoted to that rank in
June 2009. In November of that same year, Sergeant Telford was one of 5
British soldiers killed when a rogue Afghan policeman opened fire on
them. His wife and family will only receive a Corporal's pension since
he only held his rank of Sergeant for less than a year. However, he was
killed on operations by the enemy whilst wearing three stripes of a
Sergeant on active service.
Please sign the petition below to support a
change in the rules that deny a hero’s widow the pension she deserves.
Please forward onto any sympathetic contacts that you may have in your address book
"Serving those who Serve and have Served"
This is yet further
evidence that shows that even today the Services get a bum deal from the
civil servants who have their retirement nicely feathered, I refer of
course to that body of persons who work for the Ministry of Defence and
the Treasury, not forgetting the Ministers who listen to their words.

The only Royal Marine EVER to win Distinguished Flying Medal
by
FoxnWolf
on Sat 26 Feb 2011 12:38 GMT
The only Royal Marine EVER to win Distinguished Flying MedalNo other Royal Marine will ever win the medal again as it has now been withdrawnThe only Royal Marine decorated with the coveted Distinguished Flying
Medal following the end of his astonishing 38-year
career.
Lt Cdr William O'Brien - known as Uncle Bill and one
of the finest military men of his generation - flew missions in
Afghanistan last year aged 54, the oldest pilot there.
Prior
to that his military service involved six tours of Northern Ireland, the
Falklands - where he won his rare DFM for valour and courage - and then
Iraq in the 1990s.
Lt Cdr William O'Brien, seen with an impressive array of medals on his
retirement day from the Royal Marines in 1999 (top), flew missions in
Afghanistan last year aged 54, the oldest pilot there No other Royal Marine will ever win the DFM because it is no longer awarded

O'Brien in the pilot's seat of a helicopter at U.S. Army base Fort Rucker in Dale County, Alabama O'Brien, who was also a major in the army air corps and marines and a
Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Navy, joined the Royal Marines in
1972. He was awarded the King's Badgeman badge as the best all round marine of his troop, No. 29 King's Squad.
Following four tours to Northern Ireland his career literally took off when he qualified as an air gunner.
He then gained his wings in 1981 and won the Bob Bowles Trophy for being the best student.
The heroic pilot delivering ammunition to
British troops on the settlement of Goose Green in Lafonia on East
Falkland in 1982. O'Brien won his rare Distinguished Flying Medal for
valour and courage in the Falklands War
Following two more tours of Belfast he headed to the Falklands and won his DFM.
The
London Gazette on October 8, 1982 recorded: 'During the attack on
Darwin and Goose Green Sergeant O'Brien piloted a Gazelle helicopter.
For two days his helicopter conducted supply and casualty evacuation operations, often under enemy fire.
He also took part in 17 night flying sorties to evacuate wounded personnel and resupply vital ammunition.
At times these sorties necessitated flying forward to company lines in the heat of battle and in appalling weather.
The
conspicuous gallantry and cool professionalism displayed on all these
occasions was superb and Sergeant O'Brien made an outstanding
contribution.'
O'Brien receiving his Green Beret in 1972. He
started as a Royal Marine commando in the 70s before learning to fly
helicopters in the Army Air Corp
He said afterwards: 'We flew a number of sorties mostly at night in
an armed Gazelle, not that we ever used the rockets in anger.
'I
am not sure how effective they would have been if we had - they had a
fairly basic aiming system just a chinagraph cross on the aircraft
windscreen.
'It was the early days of night vision devices.
'They were fairly rudimentary and we taught ourselves how to use them on the way down.'
After
the Falklands, O'Brien qualified on the Lynx helicopter and in 1984
passed as a flying instructor, once again winning the best student
award.
He then served in Turkey and Iraq in Operation Haven then became a flying instructor in the US.
In 2008 he was commissioned into the Royal Navy Reserve with the rank of Lieutenant Commander, and volunteered for Afghanistan.
He
said at the time: 'I was given an opportunity to deploy and felt
obliged to take it, simply because I am still training Apache pilots and
I need to see what they are expected to do when they come out of
training school.'
Asked about the differences between flying
in Afghanistan and the Falklands, Lt Cdr O'Brien said: 'The intensity
is more than I was expecting and is more than I recollect from the other
place.
'It is full on all the time. I fly an Apache so I
don't feel terribly threatened, although the flying environment is quite
hard work sometimes.'
 O'Brien flying a helicopter on pre-deployment
training at Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field in Arizona, U.S., before
a mission in Afghanistan Now, the married family man who lives in Somerset, is considering a
new career and is putting his six medals, photographs and mementoes up
for auction. 'Major O'Brien had an astonishing career with the marines, army and navy and was flying in operations at the age of 54. 'In the Falklands he was there to save lives and more recently in Afghanistan he's been more offensive.
'He came top of the class in pretty much everything he did and of course won his DFM during the Falklands war.
'He
has a wife and children and just wants to embark on a new career. He is
a lovely, down-to-earth man who has mentioned writing a book about his
career.'
The DFM was introduced in 1918 as the other ranks' equivalent to the
DFC, which was awarded to commissioned and warrant officers.
It ceased to exist after 1993

MPs Block Military Covenant
by
FoxnWolf
on Wed 23 Feb 2011 14:34 GMT
MPs Block Military CovenantFriday, February 18, 2011
Labour rounded on the government after ministers blocked a proposal to enshrine the "military covenant" into law.
The
Royal British Legion had led calls for David Cameron to keep a promise
he made in June to codify the covenant, the bond between a nation and
its armed forces, into a legal document. But the coalition government
has decided that the covenant can be covered in an annual report to
parliament, and does not need to be put onto the statute books. |
|
Labour
tried to get ministers to change their minds, and used an opposition
day debate on the armed forces bill to demand a U-turn. This was
defeated by 86 votes.
Jim
Murphy, the shadow defence secretary, said: "This has been a bad week
for our armed forces. Soldiers have been sacked by email, RAF trainees
sacked by media leak and now the government has broken its promise to
enshrine the covenant in law.
"Ten
months in and they have lost the courage of their convictions. The
charities and families who wanted a legally defined covenant and will be
deeply disappointed. We will judge this government on actions not words
and we will continue to campaign for a legally enshrined military
covenant."
During
the debate the defence secretary, Liam Fox, told MPs that the
government would improve and develop the covenant. But he added: "It
cannot be a wish list separated form the economic reality in which we
find ourselves."
He
said the covenant could not "ignore the financial predicament" and went
on to criticise the economic legacy Labour left the coalition – and its
treatment of the military during its 13 years in power. Fox added:
"Their response to equipping our forces was often too little too late,
their spending priorities were wrong and there was too much waste and
inadequate budgetary control."
Last
week the Royal British Legion said the government had backtracked on
its promise over the covenant, and accused it of significantly watering
down its proposals.
Chris
Simpkins, the charity's director, told the Guardian: "I don't doubt
them when they say they care about the armed forces. The challenge for
them is to demonstrate it. Their proposals for the military covenant
feel like a U-turn." |

WMD Lies That Triggered Iraq War
by
FoxnWolf
on Sat 19 Feb 2011 21:58 GMT
The defector who convinced the White House that Iraq
had a secret biological weapons programme has admitted for the first
time that he lied about his story, then watched in shock as it was used
to justify the war.Rafid Ahmed Alwan al-Janabi, codenamed Curveball
by German and American intelligence officials who dealt with his
claims, has told the Guardian that he fabricated tales of mobile
bioweapons trucks and clandestine factories in an attempt to bring down
the Saddam Hussein regime, from which he had fled in 1995.
"Maybe I
was right, maybe I was not right," he said. "They gave me this chance. I
had the chance to fabricate something to topple the regime. I and my
sons are proud of that and we are proud that we were the reason to give
Iraq the margin of democracy.
"The admission comes just after the
eighth anniversary of Colin Powell's speech to the United Nations in
which the then-US secretary of state relied heavily on lies that Janabi
had told the German secret service, the BND. It also follows the release
of former defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld's memoirs, in which he
admitted Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction programme.
The
careers of both men were seriously damaged by their use of Janabi's
claims, which he now says could have been – and were – discredited well
before Powell's landmark speech to the UN on 5 February 2003.The
former CIA chief in Europe Tyler Drumheller describes Janabi's admission
as "fascinating", and said the emergence of the truth "makes me feel
better". "I think there are still a number of people who still thought
there was something in that.
Even now," said Drumheller.In the
only other at length interview Janabi has given he denied all knowledge
of his supposed role in helping the US build a case for invading
Saddam's Iraq.In a series of meetings with the Guardian in Germany
where he has been granted asylum, he said he had told a German
official, who he identified as Dr Paul, about mobile bioweapons trucks
throughout 2000.
He said the BND had identified him as a Baghdad-trained
chemical engineer and approached him shortly after 13 March of that
year, looking for inside information about Saddam's Iraq."I had a problem with the Saddam regime," he said. "I wanted to get rid of him and now I had this chance."He
portrays the BND as gullible and so eager to tease details from him
that they gave him a Perry's Chemical Engineering Handbook to help
communicate.
He still has the book in his small, rented flat in
Karlsruhe, south-west Germany."They were asking me about pumps
for filtration, how to make detergent after the reaction," he said. "Any
engineer who studied in this field can explain or answer any question
they asked."Janabi claimed he was first exposed as a liar as
early as mid-2000, when the BND travelled to a Gulf city, believed to be
Dubai, to speak with his former boss at the Military Industries
Commission in Iraq, Dr Bassil Latif.
The Guardian has learned
separately that British intelligence officials were at that meeting,
investigating a claim made by Janabi that Latif's son, who was studying
in Britain, was procuring weapons for Saddam. That claim was
proven false, and Latif strongly denied Janabi's claim of mobile
bioweapons trucks and another allegation that 12 people had died during
an accident at a secret bioweapons facility in south-east Baghdad.
The
German officials returned to confront him with Latif's version. "He
says, 'There are no trucks,' and I say, 'OK, when [Latif says] there no
trucks then [there are none],'" Janabi recalled. He said the BND
did not contact him again until the end of May 2002. But he said it soon
became clear that he was still being taken seriously.
He claimed
the officials gave him an incentive to speak by implying that his then
pregnant Moroccan-born wife may not be able to travel from Spain to join
him in Germany if he did not co-operate with them. "He says, you work
with us or your wife and child go to Morocco."The meetings
continued throughout 2002 and it became apparent to Janabi that a case
for war was being constructed. He said he was not asked again about the
bioweapons trucks until a month before Powell's speech.
After the
speech, Janabi said he called his handler at the BND and accused the
secret service of breaking an agreement that they would not share
anything he had told them with another country. He said he was told not
to speak and placed in confinement for around 90 days.
With the US
now leaving Iraq, Janabi said he was comfortable with what he did,
despite the chaos of the past eight years and the civilian death toll in
Iraq, which stands at more than 100,000."I tell you something
when I hear anybody – not just in Iraq but in any war – [is] killed, I
am very sad. But give me another solution. Can you give me another
solution?"Believe me, there was no other way to bring about freedom to Iraq. There were no other possibilities."

38 Warrant Officers in the British Army "Fired by Email"
by
FoxnWolf
on Tue 15 Feb 2011 10:01 GMT
38 Warrant Officers in the British Army "Fired by Email"Both the Ministry of Defence and the Army have apologised for
"causing distress" after 38 soldiers - including one serving in
Afghanistan - were sacked by email. The warrant officers who were dismissed by email were told it was because the Army also needed to make savings.
The message to the men read: "I write to notify you that with regret, I must issue you with 12 months' Notice of Termination.
"As I'm sure you are aware the Army has to make significant cutbacks and we... are expected to play our part in reductions."
The 38 warrant officers - the highest non-commissioned rank - all
have at least 20 years' service and continue in the Army on a rolling
contract.
However, The Sun claimed one of the veteran soldiers received the bad news while on the front line in Afghanistan.
An Army spokesperson said: "We apologise for the distress that this will have caused.
All the men have at least 20 years' service with the British Army
"Commanding officers have now spoken to the soldiers concerned to ensure that they receive all necessary advice and support."
The MoD has been quick to point out this was not a mistake on the
part of civil servants or ministers - but a mistake in terms of
sequencing made by the Army.
Army sources said the individual responsible for the gaffe would be
spoken to by the chain of command about the need to be sensitive in
these matters.
When their contracts are up in a year's time, the servicemen will get
their full re-settlement package and thousands of pounds towards future
training.
Despite this, shadow defence secretary Jim Murphy said getting fired in such a way was unforgivable.
"To be sacked by email is a shameful and callous way to be treated. FOXNWOLF COMMENTS;This is typical of the governments attitude towards our armed forces. Apart from the offending email re "38 Warrant Officers in the British Army Fired by Email". How about;
"Who sent the email""Who gave permission for that signal to be sent" I hope that the person who pressed the "ENTER" button that sent the message winging thru to the unsuspecting 38 W.O.`s also gets notified that they are going to loose their job. Who ever it is SHOULD BE FIRED....... whether its a Civil Servant or Government Minister they should be out of the door, nothing more and nothing less. SOMEBODY SHOULD BE NAILED FOR THIS

Bumpy landing for eBay seller of Harrier jet

It was a case of fifth time unlucky for the British seller
of a restored Harrier jump jet aircraft, when eBay ‘bombed’ his listing, saying
that it contravened their policies on sales of military equipment.
This was despite the seller, Chris Wilson, having sold four
of the decommissioned planes on the auction website previously.
But Mr Wilson might have known that his latest offering
would cause problems, when he missed out on selling it for £69,999, after the
buyer was revealed as a seven-year-old boy, who had accidentally hit the ‘Buy
it Now’ button while checking his dad’s eBay account.
Resultant press coverage kick-started proceedings when the
jump jet – a major symbol of the British campaign to recapture the Falklands
from Argentina in the 1980s – was re-listed for auction.
Its price soon shot up to £94,000, with 80 bidders showing
an interest, and more than 140,000 others clicking through to view the plane.
But eBay then shot down the sale for being against their guidelines, even
though all the plane’s weapons and major components – even its engines – have been
stripped.
EBay’s policy specifically forbids sales of “articles or
services specifically designed, developed, configured, adapted or modified for
a military application and (with) significant military or intelligence
applicability.”
So not only were many potential buyers disappointed, an international shipping specialist also missed out on the assignment of a
lifetime.

Secret filming reveals the 'shocking' duck cruelty at Waitrose Supplier
Foxnwolf comments; Waitrose
Needless to say after seeing the footage in the media of
the treatment of Ducks by your suppliers my family and friends are
aghast that this has happened.
We have all decided that no further shopping will be made at any Waitrose store by any of us. If this is happening at one location how are we or you supposed
to be 100% sure that this is not happening in others. Unless you have
standards officers located 24/7 on these premises to make sure that this
is not happening I dont see how you can police or prevent situations like this happening now and in the future.
We used to use local family butchers for all our meat product purchases, we will now go back to using them instead of Waitrose.
Waitrose was the last place where we would have expected
this sort of treatment to be carried out. I hope that the farmer
concerned and the culprits are taken to the courts and dealt with in the
harshest way possible to be a warning to other suppliers of any form of
Livestock.
Apart from the abuse of these ducks the other item is
the dead and injured ducks laying around the enclosure apart from the
health hazard this is also inhumane.
For your consideration; Your (Waitrose) comments would be welcome.......

Colonel Allen West Answers a Marine's Question

Colonel Allen West Answers a Marine's Question
Only two blacks were newly elected to congress this cycle, and both areRepublican. Col West is from southern Florida, a bastion of the DemocraticParty. He won in a walk. It is worth the viewing. This new Congressman was an extremely popularcommander in Iraq . He was forced to retire because during an intense combat action a few of his men were captured. At the same time his menhad captured one of the guys who were with the Iraqis who captured hismen.
Knowing that time was crucial and his interrogators were not gettinganywhere with the prisoner COL West took matters into his own hands. Heburst into the room and demanded thru an interpreter that the prisonertell him where his men were being taken. The prisoner refused so COL Westtook out his pistol and placed it into the prisoner's crotch and fired. Then the COL told the prisoner that the next shot would not miss. So the prisoner said he would show where the American service members were beingtaken. The Americans were rescued. Some one filed a report on incorrecthandling of prisoners. COL West was forced to retire. COL West was justelected in November 2010 to Congress from Florida . During the electionshe was part of a panel on how to handle or how to relate to Muslims. You will see his answer here.
Here is one of the new congressmen from Florida explaining very definitively in just over a minute the truth about Islam
President Obama this
week once again called Islam "a great religion" which has been
"distorted" by a small number of "extremists" to justify committing acts
of violence against the West.
But the Qur'an (or Koran) itself,
the holy book of Islam, contains over 100 verses calling for violence
against Christians and Jews. To give just one example, Sura 9:5 says,
"Slay the idolaters wherever you find them."
During a panel
discussion sponsored by the Hudson Institute last January, retired Army
Lt. Colonel Allen West, who did combat duty in Iraq, responded to a
Marine who asked the question, how do you answer people who say that
terrorists are following a "warped" version of Islam?
The panel
consisted of a number of former military personnel, who fumbled around
trying to answer the question. Col. West finally stepped forward
answered the question directly and truthfully. Listen to the words of a
former military man who understands the nature of the enemy we face.
Notice again Col.
West's straightforward assessment: "This is not a perversion. They are
doing exactly what this book (i.e., the Qur'an) says."
Col. West,
by the way, was elected last week to Congress, to represent Florida's
22nd congressional district. He will be the first African-American
Republican congressman to represent Florida since 1870.
If you
would like to add your signature to our "thank you" letter to Col. West
for speaking frankly about the nature of the enemy we face, you can do
so here. Don't forget to give a special "thank you" on this Veteran's
Day to every member of the military you encounter.

Leader of the English Defence League aka (Tool Academy Recruitment)
by
FoxnWolf
on Fri 04 Feb 2011 14:48 GMT
Their leader is Self-proclaimed Tommy Robinson who is really Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, from good old Bedford aka Mr Muppet (far right of the picture)
Now I know where they get the "cast" for the tv series "Tool Academy" on E4. God help us all, I just watched him being interviewed by Adam Boulton at 13:50hrs on Sky News re his views and stuff (mainly regarding the march in Luton on Sat` 6th)....... You could also not help notice his "Goons" standing around covering all points of the compass.
He grunted his way thru the interview (the obvious time lag between questions from Adam) he was either forgetting to breath and talk at the same time (cant multitask) plus trying to remember the question itself.
I regard these knuckle draggers just as dangerous than the Islamist Fundamentals or even the IRA. At least Nick Griffin of the BNP wears a suit and tie when he is being interviewed and tries to look the part of a concerned leader/spokesman. Plus, Mr Muppet fell out of favor with the BNP some years ago for being tad Radical.
Tommy aka Stephen was complaining that he and his family need 24hr police protection because he they have been threatened and worse. Well, he should have considered his family before he ran off in to the woods firing his paintball gun at the weekends (with his oiks). And, he couldnt see why he and his family are being threatened.
Note to the authorities;
Please dont mix their DNA samples up with us mortals.
Why are out taxes paying for this self inflicted situation?
Oh yeah, nearly forgot... human rights
The Guardian comments;Tool Academy (E4) must have an audience made up entirely of couch-bound people whose remote batteries died while they were watching Glee.

We deserve a say......in your face political ad
by
James
on Mon 24 Jan 2011 01:50 GMT
I don't want this to be a rant but........
Isn't it time we all had a say on the EU? now before you go yawn and think about turning away......please just give me 2 mins
Whether you are Eurosceptic or Europhile.....or whatever 'camps' and labels they have been given........shouldn't we open up the debate on this huge issue. I don't mean a huge political debate in the Westminster Village but by ordinary citizens. The whole EU project has gone beyond ordinary folk understanding. Most people know it is out there but think of it in some sort of parrallel universe. The debate then gets hi-jacked by either the political elite who speak spin-bollocks-complicated languages or by people from both sides with such strong views on either side of the argument, it becomes too much to take on.
But seeing as we are entering an age of massive austerity cuts, price hikes, and 'every one tighten your belts' era, surely we should rethink how we go about our business. Our relationship with the EU affects everyone in the UK. The news coming out of the Eurozone isn't great. Things aren't going to get any better in 2011. We know that the relationship with the EU costs billions of £'s. Now whether this is good value for money or not, the sheer scale of the relationship means we need to re-evaluate the situation (just as everything else - so we are being told by the politicians). I think the debate needs to come out into the open - information (that everyone understands) needs to be shared and then the people of the UK should be given a vote to decide, once and for all, what we want.
Personally, I think we would be better off out of the political EU and free to form our own relationships with countries around the world. I would prefer to see us forming closer relationships with the commonwealth. I think it is time to leave the EU and move forward into something new......something better. If we left the EU, I wouldn't want to go 'back' to anything ie back to where we we were before we signed up to the original deal back in the ealry 70's.....yes, have the free-trade agreement but have that with the rest of the world. If we left the EU, the Germans won't stop buying British goods. We won't stop buying French cheese - shit, I want the French to be French and the Germans to be Germans.....and the Spanish to be Spanish...yadda yadda.
Anyway, that is why I run the EU Referendum Campaign. We want the man on the street to understand. That is why we haven't targeted our campaign at the Westminster Village - we keep all our literature free from party politics, left-wing or right-wing bullshit, or rabid rants. We already have the largest active database amongst all eurosceptic campaigns in the UK. The campaign HQ is staffed by professional campaigners, our spokesperson is an ex-LBC radio DJ who speaks to the British public in the language they all understand. We have unrivalled resources, completely independent and won't back down from political pressure from any of the Westminster Village.
But the most important campaign we are running is The Pledge. It is a completely neutral campaign calling for a Referendum. We welcome people from all sides (pro-EU and anti-EU) to join to call for a national referendum so the issue can be brought out in the open, discussed and voted on. We want to organise meetings in universities, town halls, pubs, work places etc where the whole EU project can be debated and arguments put across. We have written to every MP to see where they stand on the issue. We are now receiving all the answers from them. The MP's that don't agree with our call fro a referendum will be targeted by our campaign. We will go to their constituency office (when they are there) and make our voice heard. We will ask everyone on our database in the constituency to write to the local media, attend protests outside the offices, take part in town hall debates in the constituency, hand out leaflets in the area, etc etc. We will work with the local media to get the exposure. We will work with all the local pubs and local groups to organise events to raise the campaign. Once the sitting MP sees with his/her own eyes how the people really feel, then they will take note. You can have 10,000 people outside the Houses of Parliament and the politicians won't take a blind bit of notice.....but if they see a few hundred people in their own constituancy kicking up a fuss, they will surely take note.
The politcians are hoping this issue will go away.....but it won't.
I know that I havent covered all the areas on this page.....but like I said, it is too complicated a subject to go on and on.
The only way we can win, is for the people to get involved. I hope the attached advert can appear on this posting (thanks Ed :-)) but it is ad from the New Statesman this week and also on the back cover (outside facing) of he House magazine which goes out to all MP's and Peers tomorrow.
Please join up to our campaign on www.eureferendumcampaign.com and don't forget to sign The Pledge - thanks

Major Technological Breakthrough

Major Technological Breakthrough
Introducing the new Bio-Optic Organized Knowledge device, trade named:
"BOOK"
BOOK is a revolutionary breakthrough in technology: no wires, no electric
circuits, no batteries, nothing to be connected or switched on. It's so easy
to use, even a child can operate it.
Compact and portable, it can be used anywhere -- even sitting in an
armchair by the fire -- yet it is powerful enough to hold as much information as
a CD-ROM disc. Here's how it works:
BOOK is constructed of sequentially numbered sheets of paper (recyclable),
each capable of holding thousands of bits of information. The pages are
locked together with a custom-fit device called a binder, which keeps the
sheets in their correct sequence.
Opaque Paper Technology (OPT) allows manufacturers to use both sides of the
sheet, doubling the information density and cutting costs. Experts are
divided on the prospects for further increases in information density; for
now, BOOKs with more information simply use more pages.
Each sheet is scanned optically, registering information directly into your
brain. A flick of the finger takes you to the next sheet. BOOK may be
taken up at any time and used merely by opening it.
Unlike other display devices, BOOK never crashes or requires rebooting, and
it can even be dropped on the floor or stepped on without damage. However,
it can become unusable if immersed in water for a significant period of
time. The "browse" feature allows you to move instantly to any sheet and move
forward or backward as you wish. Many come with an "index" feature, which
pinpoints the exact location of selected information for instant retrieval.
An optional "BOOKmark" accessory allows you to open BOOK to the exact place
you left it in a previous session -- even if the BOOK has been closed.
BOOKmarks fit universal design standards; thus, a single BOOKmark can be used
in BOOKs by various manufacturers. Conversely, numerous BOOKmarkers can be
used in a single BOOK if the user wants to store numerous views at once.
The number is limited only by the number of pages in the BOOK.
You can also make personal notes next to BOOK text entries with an optional
programming tool, the Portable Erasable Nib Cryptic Intercommunication
Language Stylus (PENCILS).
Portable, durable, and affordable, BOOK is being hailed as a precursor of a
new entertainment wave. Also, BOOK's appeal seems so certain that
thousands of content creators have committed to the platform and investors are
reportedly flocking. Look for a flood of new titles soon.

I'm sitting here at 11:30 p.m. with a big bowl of pasta and a large beer, with the radio tuned to Test Match Special. For no other reason that I am waiting for the Australian Ashes team to resemble the participants in the Sydney Gay Parade ........ limping along with someone shoving a dildo the size of a Gunn & Moore cricket bat right up their jacksie ! Without the KY jelly ! Oh - what joy ! You can almost hear the dentures of Lillee, Thompson, the Chapells, the Waughs and the other larrikins clack together in disappointment. Hear the rattle carrying on the breeze? That's the Don spinning in his grave ! Poor Australians - NOT ! Never mind guys - there's always Bangla Desh or Zimbabwe to beat ! Tee hee hee !

I have posted before about that unrepresentative and unaccountable organisation that no one has really had a free vote for ( when voted against, you keep voting - when voted for there is no second chance later when they fuck up); the organisation that has not had its accounts ratified by any accounting company in over 10 years because of the inherent fraud, lost & unaccountable disapearance of money and its sheer incompetence; the organisation that has reduced national governance to no better than that of a local council ! No doubt that some of you think that I am fixated by this. Well, maybe it's not just me that finds this organisation a disgraceful, unacceptable imposition on reasonable human beings and a complete travesty of our right to self-government. Click HereHow long are you going to accept successive UK governments accepting the EU and also accepting this ? Forever? Or are you going to do something about it?
